Should I Try A Juice Cleanse?

Friends, family members, and customers always ask us if a juice cleanse is right for them and many people doubt their ability to complete one

A juice cleanse is a great way to detoxify your body, relax an uptight digestive system, and pump your body full of powerful nutrients. If you have no major health problems, you could benefit enormously from a cleanse. Today we’re going to cover some FAQ’s about juice cleanses and help you decide if a juice cleanse could be right for you!

Q: Can I exercise?

A: During and after a juice cleanse, normal amounts of sleep and exercise will fuel your body with plenty of energy. When participating in physical activity, they key is to listen to your body.

Relax if you feel you need to! If you don’t usually exercise, a cleanse may be the encouragement you need- one of the long-term benefits of participating in a juice cleanse is that it can help you kick start a new and improved healthy lifestyle.

Q: Will food make me sick after my cleanse?

A: Juice cleanses are designed to detoxify your body, meaning your body should feel great after! However after every cleanse, it’s important to slowly incorporate simple non-processed health foods back into your diet.

If you eat an entire feast after your cleanse, your body will be unhappy. After a cleanse, we advise everyone to eat smaller meals slowly and gradually and to avoid toxin-filled beverages such as alcohol.

Q: What will my energy levels be like?

A: It’s completely normal to feel a bit more tired than usual while on a cleanse, especially for the first day or two. After all, your body is working hard to cleanse itself and some typical detox symptoms are tiredness and a lack of energy.

Listen to your body and try to take small naps if you can! As you continue your cleanse you’ll find that your detox symptoms will ease and you’ll start to feel refreshed and re-energized.

Q: Will I get hungry?

A: Many cleansers find that they’re not overly hungry during a cleanse. Since your body is getting all of the nutrients it needs, you won’t be famished. If you find yourself craving food, there are a variety of ways to curb hunger during a juice cleanse.

One way is to drink at least 8 cups of water a day. Additionally, many customers enjoy drinking herbal teas to curb cravings. If you’re unsure of what kind of tea would best suit your cleanse, let us know and we can offer suggestions.

Q: Will I have to go to the washroom a lot?

A: With all the juice and water you’ll be drinking on your cleanse, chances are you’ll be making quite a few trips to the washroom. Without solids in your diet, most cleansers will find that number 2’s are less frequent for the duration of the cleanse as well.

After you’ve flushed out all your toxins on the cleanse, your washroom routine will return to normal!
